Robello Samuel gave a wonderful devotional yesterday morning before breakfast. He shared from Zechariah 4:10, “Who despises the day of small things?” Missionary work often begins small, but God blesses and the kingdom grows over many years.
Following breakfast, part of the team went to the worksite for about two hours of final work on the parsonage while most of the team went shopping in Kotagiri. At around 11 AM, the team headed to Ooty again. We ate lunch at the wood-fire pizza place again (yes, we are missing our American food).
After lunch we went to the Nilgris Mountain Train for a three-hour train ride through the mountains. The sights were beautiful. Some of the team “said” they saw an elephant, but no one got a picture. It may be a fish story…
The day ended with a one-hour bus ride back to Kotagiri, dinner outside by a fire, and the celebration of another birthday (Tammy Volz).
Tomorrow morning, we will leave Kotagiri for our journey back to Houston. Please pray for our team as we travel. We fly from Coimbatore to Bangalore (1 hour), Bangalore to London (10 hours), and London to Houston (9 hours). Over half our team has planned an extended stay in London, so the arriving team will only be 8 members.
This is our final post. Thank you so much for following our trip and especially for your needed prayers!
